The old-timers of the genre like Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson are more relevant to todays desert vibe. 2020 has shook up the world, particularly artists trying to get their music out, trying to make a living. Botz writes songs about hard times, a good woman, and sheer life through the bottle. "Maggie" features a rocking backup band with 'Red Rhodes' pedal steel and a ripping guitar solo.
